Potatoes (Aloo) Masala

Ingredients

- Four medium size potatoes
- Cumin seeds
- Turmeric powder
- Red chili powder
- Garam Masala powder
- Salt
- Olive Oil
- Cilantro leaves
- Mango pickle masala

  1. Peel 4 medium sized potatoes and cut them in small squares.
  2. Take a medium sized pot, pour one cook spoon of oil.
  3. Add one teaspoon of Zeera (cumin seeds)
  4. Once the Zeera is warmed and cooked, add:

    • - ½ teaspoon of turmeric
    • - ½ teaspoon of red chilli powder
    • - ½ teaspoon of Garam Masala
    • - 1 teaspoon of salt

  5. Add the potatoes
  6. ⅛ cup of water.
  7. Cook for 20 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked
  8. Once the potatoes are cooked, add a tea spoon of Mango pickle masala to get the kick
  9. Cook for 2 more minutes.
  10. Sprinkle with green cilantro.
  11. Serve with Parathas or Purees

Potatoes (Aloo) Masala is one of favorite vegetarian Desi breakfast dishes.
