Potatoes (Aloo) Masala
Ingredients
- Four medium size potatoes
- Cumin seeds
- Turmeric powder
- Red chili powder
- Garam Masala powder
- Salt
- Olive Oil
- Cilantro leaves
- Mango pickle masala
- Peel 4 medium sized potatoes and cut them in small squares.
- Take a medium sized pot, pour one cook spoon of oil.
- Add one teaspoon of Zeera (cumin seeds)
- Once the Zeera is warmed and cooked, add:
- - ½ teaspoon of turmeric
- - ½ teaspoon of red chilli powder
- - ½ teaspoon of Garam Masala
- - 1 teaspoon of salt
- Add the potatoes
- ⅛ cup of water.
- Cook for 20 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked
- Once the potatoes are cooked, add a tea spoon of Mango pickle masala to get the kick
- Cook for 2 more minutes.
- Sprinkle with green cilantro.
- Serve with Parathas or Purees
